Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette

I've been obsessed with makeup for as long as I can remember and Urban Decay really were the brand that got me into eyeshadow and creating all sorts of eye looks. I remember watching a Kandee Johnson video years ago here about the naked palette and how to create a smokey eye and being so excited about it all, I actually can't believe that video was uploaded 8 years ago! I can remember watching it so vividly and begging my mum to put it on my Christmas list lol - how time flies!

With all that said, Urban Decay really are the royalty of eyeshadow palettes - they've gone from the Naked series - 1, 2, 3, smokes, heat and cherry (I'm sure I've missed one?) the smoked palette which I loved and you can watch my uber cringeworthy video on it by clicking the link, and the electric palette which I still use from time to time.

Now, the Naked Cherry...

This cherry themed palette is right up my street and contains 12 all new shades ranging from subtle pinky hues to deep, dark, smouldering cherry shades perfect to make your eyes pop and I couldn't be more excited to have this in my collection. The palette retails for £42 which is £3.50 dearer than the other naked palettes alongside Naked Heat which has the same packaging, I can't quite work out why the price increase just on this palette but I am no marketing expert and I still bought it - so well done Urban you've earned you're extra £3.50 tehe.

The packaging is the same style to the Naked heat palette - the hard plastic finish as opposed to the odd school dust-inducing velvet packaging from Naked 1 or the tins from Naked 2 & 3 which I'm a big fan of as it doesn't pick up makeup dirt so easily and you can always wipe it clean too. The palette comes with gorgeous metallic shades, a sturdy full size mirror and a double sided brush which I only really use from time to time.

The shades inside from left to right include are as follows; 'Hot Spot' (ivory matte), 'Caution' (soft neutral beige matte), 'Bang Bang' (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle), 'Juicy' (soft warm peach), 'Turn On' (pale metallic rose shimmer), 'Ambitious' (metallic rose copper), 'Bing' (deep mauve matte), 'Devilish' (reddish plum matte), 'Young Love' (metallic cranberry), 'Drunk Dial' (deep metallic Burgundy) and 'Privacy' (deep brownish-plum matte). The shade range is beautiful and it really ties together beautifully. The shades apply smoothly and blend flawlessly, the shade 'Young Love' being my personal fave - the perfect cranberry shade which looks stunning on green eyes. As with all Urban Decay shadows, there is a little fall out - but I always do my eyes first so this doesn't bother me at all and wouldn't put me off recommending the palette to you, so in my eyes, it's a winner!

Excuse my weird swatches, I was in a very strange position to try and get this photo, I'm not up to Temptalia's standard just yet!

Here's my tutorial using the palette along with my video review:

Definitely add this to your makeup collection!

Till Next Time,

Shiv xoxo
