Make-Up Products I Have Been Lusting After...

I think we'd all be telling some serious lies if we said we haven't been lusting after at least one beauty (and most likely raved about/cult) product for a while.. and for some unknown reason never purchased them! After my 19th birthday I received a lot of gift cards and money as gifts, all I wanted to buy was make-up so I browsed the internet for a good few hours and trailed to the beauty counters, superdrug and boots... bliss.

Onto the haul...
I'm only showing a few select items that I really think are worth blogging about.. If you want an in-depth review of any of the products listed or shown below pop a comment below!

Absolute beauties (and bargains!) of the Real Techniques duo fiber face brushes.

Bought From: Boots
Cost?: £23.99
Rating: 10/10!

These brushes are made of synthetic taklon bristles which are 100% cruelty free. In the pack, you get the duo-fiber face brush (middle), the duo-fiber contour brush (left) and finally, the duo-fiber eye brush (right). The gorgeous pixiwoo sisters love to use brushes for different purposes and play around with multiple techniques, as I was playing with the contour brush - I noticed that it would probably be really good for buffing in foundation, or cream bronzers too!

Obviously when I purchased these brushes they were squeaky clean! I just couldn't resist having a play!

On to the next one...
MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base Visage
I have wanted this for SOSOSOSO long, words cannot literally explain. This primer is definitely a moisturising one, I love the feel of it on the back of my hand although I haven't had a chance to give it a full blown play yet so If you want a review on this please comment below :)

Bought from: Debenhams website
Cost?: £20.50
Rating: 7/10 (First impression)

Moving onto a slightly cheaper product... the highly hyped (and worth it) Bourjois Rouge Velvets. I got the shade 02 Frambourjoise which if you watch my haul video you shall see I cannot pronounced to save my life. This lip lacquer is absolutely stunning, it lasts for ages and when you eat/drink you don't get that annoying smudging around the inside of your lips. It has a matt formula too, which I particularly love - which doesn't actually dry out your lips too, unlike a lot of other matt lip products I have tried.

Bought from: Boots
Cost?: £8.99
Rating: 9/10
Substituting a rating point because they should really do more shades!

Next is the soap & glory 'marvelips'... *sigh*. I had such high hopes for this product...
Bought from: Boots
Rating: 4/10

You're supposed to use the coloured end just as normal lipstick, which I do like the shade it is something I normally wear on an everyday basis. However, you go to apply the light side on top - it just disappears into nothing and you get the other colour all over it. I tried to blot my lips and try again, it reduced the amount of other lipstick that went onto it but yet again, it just vanished into nothing. Pointless.

This is probably one of my favourite products from this haul, since they releases the mac pro products online I raced to the glitter section and bought this instantly after seeing this in so many tutorials.
MAC Pro Glitter - Reflects Pearl
Bought from:
Rating: 10/10

If you've ever worked with glitter before you know that no matter how careful you are - it gets EVERYWHERE. So for maximum reduced glitter dust spillage, wash hands after, do eye make-up first if using on the eyes and wet your brush first.

Yves Saint Laurent - Your Glamorous Essentials Gift Set
Bought from: Debenhams
Cost? £24.50
Rating: 8/10

Lastly, is the gorgeous and oh-so-totally worth it YSL gift set that I was convinced to buy in an instant from Debenhams. The only thing that bothers me slightly is the eye-liner is not very long wearing - but I'm sure I can get around this with a good primer or a different method of application. The mascara is absolutely fabulous, I might even post a blog post reviewing just the mascara alone.

Hope you enjoyed my beauty haul!

Happy spending!

Also have a watch of the video to accompany this blogpost where I show a few more products too!

What products have you picked up recently that you're completely in love with, or any that you're lusting after?

Have a lovely day,

Shivs xoxo
