Sample Beauty Prodigy Palette Review

Sample Beauty have launched yet another amazing palette to add to their incredible line up of Instagram worthy palettes - The Prodigy Palette Jewel Toned Edition which is their first completely vegan palette and retails for only £20.

The Prodigy Palette has 21 shades which range from 15 mattes and 6 foiled - 2 of them are gorgeous, reflective duo-chrome shades ('Moonstone' & 'Diaspore'). The palette has a variety of tones, mainly on the warmer side with bold, vivid colours and there are endless looks that you can create using this palette. Another Sample Beauty palette that I own - the Paradigm Shift Palette, is a mostly matte palette and I feel like this Prodigy Palette is a unique addition to the palette they sell and I'm so happy to have this in my collection.

Below is a photo of some swatches of some shades from the palette that really stood out to me, the first photo is without flash and the second with flash just to show the intensity of the shadows. The bright blue shade 'Azurite' I did have to layer it up a little bit to get the intensity on my arm but on the eye, this would work fine with a dense shader brush. I was really impressed with the swatch of 'Hessonite' (far left of my arm), this was super creamy and easily buildable. Of course, the power is in the payoff on the eyes and I had absolutely no trouble blending out or getting a decent colour payoff from any of the shades and I was so impressed. For the look I created using this Jewel-Toned palette, the first shade I went in with was 'Almandine' which is a gorgeous berry/purple shade that has so much depth to it, you can pack it on really intensely and when you blend it out the pink berry undertones come through which is just so gorgeous and I was so obsessed with my final spotlight eye look.

I am absolutely obsessed with this palette and will definitely be creating some more looks with it soon. In case you missed it earlier, you can get 10% off Sample Beauty's website with the code 'shivonmakeupbiz' here

Here's my tutorial using the palette if you would like to see live applications of the shadows:

What are your thoughts on this palette?

Thanks so much for reading and until next time,
Much Love, Shiv xoxo
