Huda Beauty Focus: Amethyst Obsessions Palette

I love purple, absolutely love it and think it has to be my favourite colour to wear on my eyes as it really does make the green in them pop. Purple also seems to just suit and flatter every other eye colour too, which is why when Huda Beauty were having their crazy Black Friday sale I just had to pick up a few bits to try out (see my haul here)...

Before we get started, yes I know - it's now January 2020 and Black Friday was in November 2019, life got real crazy toward the end of 2019 and I just had no time to think, let alone play with makeup in a free way. Now I've got this fresh start, I was just so excited to play with my Huda Beauty bits.

First up we have the Amethyst Obsessions palette which retails for £25 and contains 9 gorgeous purple toned shades, 3 mattes and 6 shimmery shades. I love the obsession palette range from Huda's line, they're so handy for travel - come with a mirror and are so easy to create a stunning look on the eyes. The quality of this didn't surprise me at all with how easy to blend the shadows were and how sparkly the shimmers were! Totally obsessed with this one.

I also picked up four more items from the sale, consisting of; The Overachiever Concealer 'Sugar Biscuit' - I definitely somehow managed to pick the wrong shade, it's not completely un-usable but I could do with a couple shades lighter to add some brightness under the eye, however the formula in itself I love and lasts a really long time on the skin. Tantour 'Light' - I LOVE this product, this is a cream bronzer/contour and blends so seamlessly and easily into your base, which I was very surprised with as Huda Beauty's products have a bit of a rep of being so full coverage, so harder to blend - but I was pleasantly surprised with how flawless this really looked on my skin. Speaking of flawless, I also got the 'Faux Filter' foundation in 'Toasted Coconut' and this matched my skin really well, so full coverage and despite how full coverage it is, it looks smooth on my skin and this is one I'll be reaching for on a daily basis. Lastly, we have the Throwback lip kit with the power bullet lipstick 'Board Meeting' & lip contour in the shade 'H.B.I.C' - I adore the lipstick, however I find one critique is the lipliner is so creamy you do have to make sure it is well sharpened, otherwise you lose control of the shape a little but not a major flaw in the slightest.

I absolutely love Huda Beauty products, see me applying them in this tutorial below:

Have you tried anything Huda Beauty or is there anything that I absolutely need to try from her range? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading and until next time,
Much Love, Shiv xoxo
