Deep Purple Smokey Eye, A Bright Lower Lash Line & Neutral Lip

This make-up look of mine is definitely a perfect example of something going wrong in your day and turning it into something awesome. I left the original pigment I was going to be filming with that day at a friends house who lives quite far away and only realised as I sat down to film! I figured I should still definitely film so I had a good old butchers through my make up collection and found one of my first ever mac purchases which is a rendition to my purple eyeshadow obsession. It's mac's 'young punk' eyeshadow which looks almost black once applied with the tiniest flecks of purple glitter - it's beautiful!

As I was getting into this make-up look, which I was completely winging I noticed that the lower lash line needed a pop so I looked for a brighter purple shade and I ended up choosing and loving make up geeks 'pop culture' eyeshadow which is a gorgeous vibrant light purple shade which looks stunning on light green eyes. I paired the eye make-up with my go to glowing skin and chose mac's 'soar' lipliner which I've been meaning to try out for way too long and I love it.

When I take the after selfie shots I try to take them in different lighting/editing processes - i'm thinking about doing a 'how i edit my photos' post soon, please let me know if you'd like to see a full tutorial - it's very simple and I don't actually do a lot, I just enhance the bits i'd like to be brought forward and usually brighten the background. As you can see, in the second photo down the lighting is a tad more yellow - this is because when I was filming this tutorial I had the midday light coming in from one side of me as well as the artificial light in front and around me, so I'm thinking my camera got a tad confused haha but I really like this photo regardless of the yellow tinge!
