Debenhams Beauty SS15 Press Day Event

When the invite for the Debenhams Beauty SS15 Press Day popped up in my inbox, I immediately noted it down in my filofax without a shadow of a doubt and was so excited! I always buy my high-end make-up from Debenhams and was so interested to see what they have to offer for SS15.

The way the beauty section was organised was into 4 holiday zones; city and adventure being the two that I could remember which I thought was pretty cool - the PR/marketing girls from Virgin were so lovely and I ended up popping into the photo booth with them too!

The section that caught my magpie like eye over was the 'city' section, the cargo eyeshadow palette and the Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Solstice' in particular (swatch further on).

I've never tried make-up from Cargo before but this palette is just to die for, look how pigmented the shades are; so buttery too.

Exciting news - Make Up Forever is launching this summer in Debenhams! This genuinely made me so excited as I love make up forever products but they are quite hard to get here in the UK.

Neck masks? Yes, neck masks. This really intrigued me...

I really don't know whether or not this too faced selfie powder is a bit of a gimmick or not? However, that does actually make me want to try it! Any thoughts?

Ahhh the gorgeous 'Solstice' shadow I was talking about earlier, obviously the photo doesn't do it the justice that it really deserves - it is a gorgeous dark red toned brown with purple/blue reflects; it is absolutely stunning and it's on top of my wishlist!

Here's some more snaps...

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Debenhams Beauty event, they had plenty of yummy canap├ęs and drinks on offer to nibble on, a lady doing manicures using O.P.I and a chance to make your own moisturiser using Trilogy products which was really interesting. I also loved the way the staff made the extra effort too - there was 'airline' staff in gorgeous pink suits to greet you as you arrived whilst clutching a cuddly flamingo. They even decorated the elevators to a cloud design as if you were 'in flight' - awesome, good work Debenhams!
