Revolution Pro Palettes Review | Truth Or Dare & Smoke & Mirrors

Another new launch collection from Revolution's sister brand Revolution Pro; the 'Smoke and Mirrors' and 'Truth or Dare' colour focus eyeshadow palettes. These palettes both definitely give me sultry date night vibes and you can definitely be a little more creative with both of them, they both house 10 stunning shades ranging from mattes to shimmers and glitters, let's take a look...

Above, on the top is the 'Smoke and Mirrors' palette, which as you can see has a very blue theme to it, with a pop of a pinky gold, which is a bit random but I'm sure you could make it work; maybe for the inner corner highlight or a pop of colour. To create my look here with this palette I used the shades 'Smoked' (black matte), 'Stunner' (bottom 2nd from left, navy blue matte), 'Maze' (bottom right mid toned blue matte), 'Honour' (top 2nd from left), 'Illusion' (bottom left) and 'Reality' (top left aqua) on the inner corner. I felt the shadows to be nice and pigmented - the 'Smoked' shade isn't the darkest black in the world but it's definitely buildable to create a really smokey look. 'Reality' which is the aqua shade definitely surprised me the most, I put this on my inner corner and it's just so reflective and stunning, I definitely want to wash this all over my lid at a future makeup date.

Next, as directly above, we have the 'Truth or Dare' shadow palette - this was the one I was the most excited to try out. The gold in the middle of the palette called 'Mineral' would be better used as an eyeshadow topper rather than an actual eyeshadow as the base seems to be transparent but this looks really pretty layered over top of another shadow for a sparkle. The matte browns in this palette worked well as standard - they blended easily and the pigmentation is lovely. The bottom right shade 'Honesty' I put in my inner corner and this was so gorgeous! It really caught the light and opened up my eyes.

This is the look I created with the Truth or Dare shadow palette:

Overall, these two palettes retail for £12 and you can get them from Revolution Beauty, click here for the 'Smoke and Mirrors' palette and here for the 'Truth or Dare' palette. My favourite is definitely the 'Smoke and Mirrors' palette - which is surprising as I thought I'd love the 'Truth or Dare' palette more as it looks more glamorous. These colour focus palettes from Revolution Pro would make really nice gifts for a makeup lover or even a beginner, if you want to see another Pro colour focus palette, click here for my review on the 'Earth & Stone' palette.

Here's both of my live application review and tutorials below!

What do you think of the Revolution Pro range, have you picked up any exciting makeup bits?

Thanks so much for reading and until next time,
Much Love, Shiv xoxo
