Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation Review

So Urban Decay has an exciting new foundation launch, that has been a real buzz around the beauty industry for the past few weeks, it's a new addition to their range of foundations and claims to last up to 24 hours on the skin.

There's plenty of new foundation launches going on all the time but this one definitely caught my eye, I adore the All-Nighter foundation which is a heavy duty full coverage matte foundation, whereas this one is a medium coverage skin-like finish which would be perfect for everyday wear. Especially as I've gotten really into my skincare recently, my skin has massively improved so I'm more opting to a lighter coverage to show it off.

The foundation has a vegan formula (no animal derived ingredients or by-products in the formula), has a 'buildable' medium coverage, matte finish and supposedly lasts up to 24 hours. The shade range is pretty damn impressive and comes with not only 50 shades but plenty of different undertones and finishes which is really cool. On first application, this foundation applied beautifully with a damp beauty sponge and went on to a light-medium coverage I would say and looked stunning on the skin; definitely skin-like, just like the claims. You can definitely build it up to a strong medium coverage, although I wouldn't say it goes any further than a light-medium coverage on the skin - but that is the aim of this foundation; to be skin-like so that's understandable. I noticed on application, that it has a slight alcohol type smell to it, I'm not entirely sure if that is alcohol or a type of preservative that's in the foundation, but once fully applied the smell goes away so that may be something to bear in mind if you're fussy on smells in cosmetics.

The rest of my makeup went on fabulously and it lasted throughout rollercoasters (yes, I tested this foundation at Thorpe Park!) and 12 hours of wear, I had a slight break up in the product around my chin area - although I did have a greasy fast food burger halfway through the day so that's pretty impressive.

All in all, I'm in love with this foundation and will definitely be one I reach for day to day, the coverage is gorgeous and you can still see my freckles through it which I love! You can get it from the Urban Decay website here, as well as other many retailers worlwide and it retails for £29.50 which is the usual cost of an Urban Decay foundation.

*I got the shade 40WY for reference.

Will you be picking up this new foundation? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for reading and until next time,
Much Love, Shiv xoxo
